Flyers Acquire Reid Price from Tucson

The Schaumburg Flyers traded OF Victor Ferrante for LHP Reid Price last week. Price was 4-1 with a 1.51 ERA with the Tucson Toros (Golden League) in 2009.
In two minor-league seasons, Price compiled a 10-3 career record with a 3.26 ERA. He split the 2008 season between three teams, going 2-2 with the Southern Illinois Miners (Frontier League). Last season was his best as a professional, striking out 29 batters while only walking 10 in 35.2 innings. Price was born in South Carolina and attended Auburn University.
Ferrante had a .284 batting average in 2009, to go along with 18 home runs and 68 RBI. Ferrante was originally drafted in the 15th Round of the 2006 Amateur Draft by the Colorado Rockies.
